What to Expect

Cub Scouts is all about encouraging kids to make friends, be helpful, and serve others while striving to do their best by engaging in exciting projects and outdoor activities.

The Cub Scout structure has a Pack (the entire group of Scouts) divided into age-based Dens. Pack activities are designed for all Scouts to learn, grow and give back to their community.

Dens are the group of same-age peers your Scout will team with to work towards earning each rank.

For more information on the Cub Scout program, costs, uniforms and more, see the links provided below:

Step 1: Apply to Join Pack 469

Click below to join Pack 469 and create an Adult and Scout account with the Boys Scouts of America (search for Pack 0469 Lakewood United Methodist Men)

Step 2: Once your applications have been submitted, someone from Pack 469 will contact you regarding next steps and to introduce you to your Scout’s Den Leader.

Step 3: Read through the New Parent guide for more information or reach out directly to the Pack 469 Cubmaster

Once your applications have been submitted, the next step is to attend the next Pack meeting.

Pack meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at the Scout Building at Lakewood United Methodist Church. These meetings consist of a fun and educational activity for all scouts in our Pack.

Then, Pack 469 will connect you to your Scout’s Den Leader to begin monthly Den Meetings and working towards earning your rank.

An important next step is for all adults who will attend events with your Scout(s) to complete the Youth Protection Training (YPT).
